Mac's Wind Surfing Page

I'm working on digitizing the video from my wind surfing in Hawaii in June 1999.

... Just another of many sporting scars ...

Pattaya, Thailand (Sept 1997) while my friend Warren was visiting (he took the photos). What happened was that I fell of my wind surf board and as I was coming back out of the water, the sailing mast of the board hit me right next to my right eye (very close to the eye, as a matter of fact). But, feeling numb, I didn't know I was bleeding until a bunch of people from the beach came roaring up to me and pointing at my face. I remember noting, "Oh ... I guess, I should get this taken care of". So, off we went to the emergency room. I ended up with 6 stitches since it was so deep. This right before my Heineken Beer still photo shoot (see my commercials page), and hence the direction of my face during the shoot.
